Our office is located at 501B Hunt Club Drive in the Ocean Club Centre at the south entrance of The Currituck Club. Our office is open 7 days a week and our normal business hours are from 9:00 AM -5:00 PM. If our assistance is needed after hours, you may call our After Hours line at (252) 599-0101 anytime.

All Paramount Destinations homes come standard with linens for all beds in your vacation home. All linens are professionally laundered and sanitized and you will find the beds have already been made for your arrival. Bath sets (which include a bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth) will also be provided in the home for each person (according to the home's occupancy limit) at no additional charge to you as our guest.
Paramount Destinations normally begins check-in at 4:00 PM however, due to our high standards for cleanliness, there is a possibility that your vacation rental may not be ready until slightly later, especially during peak season. We cannot guarantee that every home will be ready at that time but we do attempt to have every home be ready by 6:00 PM. Your patience is appreciated. We can check no one into a property that has not been released by our cleaning and maintenance department. Please don’t go to the property before you have been notified by the office that the property has been cleared for check-in. It delays the cleaning, servicing, and inspection of the property as well as your check-in time. A limited number of "Early 1:00 PM Check-Ins" will be offered for a fee to those guests with special arrival needs. The earlier you call us, the better your chances are of securing this service. Please contact the office for details.
To avoid any additional late check out fees, all units must be vacated by 10 AM on checkout day. A limited number of "Late 12:00 PM Departures" will be offered for a fee to those guests with special departure needs. The earlier you call us, the better your chances are of securing this service. Please contact office for details. Upon checkout, the guest is responsible for completing a list of “Checkout Procedures.” The management company reserves the right to charge fee if the property is not left in acceptable condition.
Paramount Destinations shall not be held responsible for items left in the rental unit. If an item is recovered it will be held for thirty days at the management company office. If you realize you have left something at your rental unit, please contact the office immediately. We will notify you about returning the item by mail for a cost of $35.00 shipping & handling charge. Tenants must leave all keys on the kitchen counter upon checkout or be subject to a $25.00 per lost key fee.
Properties allowing pets are usually limited to two (2) housebroken domestic animals (dogs) unless otherwise stated. A $100 minimum, nonrefundable fee is charged for each pet on all reservations including pets. The homeowner must approve any pet other than a dog prior to occupancy. A pet of any kind on the premises of a non-pet property is absolutely prohibited and is grounds for expedited eviction of the entire party and forfeiture of all monies paid as provided in the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND FURNISHINGS
Each property is privately owned; furnished, equipped for housekeeping and decorated to the Owner’s taste. The owners of the properties managed by Paramount Destinations provide a higher level of standard furnishings and Paramount Destinations will provide you with a starter kit of dish soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels and toilet paper, but the tenant will still need to supply their week’s supply of all staples. FAMILY GROUPS ONLY & MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
Paramount Destinations’ rental homes are reserved for family groups only, as authorized by our contract with each property homeowner. No fraternities, sororities, civic, school, church or other groups will be allowed without prior written permission from the homeowner. The person whose name appears on the Lease must be at least 25 years old and in residence at the home for the duration of the rental period. Paramount Destinations will only allow this named person to check into the property unless prior arrangements have been made. Written notification of the persons allowed to check in, and permission of same, must be in the hands of Paramount Destinations prior to our giving the keys to anyone other than the person named on the Lease. The person checking into any Paramount Destinations home must be at least 25 years of age. Maximum occupancy in the home must include all adults and children over the age of two (2) years old.
All cancellations must be in writing by fax, email or letter. If the property is re-rented for only a portion of the original rental period or at a reduced rate,the only refund due the canceling Tenant are those funds in excess of the original rental rate, less $200 cancellation fee, the $225 administrative fee and any other additional non-refundable fees as described in the Paramount Destinations brochure or website. Refunds will be payable to the rental guest within 30 days after the subsequent re-rent payment has cleared our accounts. (We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. Please see our brief description noted below.)
In the event a reservation is cancelled and the property is not re-rented during the entire term, then the entire rent payment will be forfeited.
We highly recommend that travel insurance be purchased when making your vacation reservation. As of Nov. 1, 2014, we offer travel insurance through Red Sky Travel Insurance at a rate of 6.95% of the total trip cost. Travel insurance can be purchased with or before your final payment is made on your reservation; thereafter, the premium is non-refundable. Once you have travel insurance, it can refund prepaid fees and covers a variety of issues that could impact your vacation that cause financial loss due to unforeseen circumstances. Some of the things that may be covered with this insurance include: mandatory evacuation due to a hurricane, sickness, injury or death of an immediate family member, or traveling companion, the insured’s principal residence being made uninhabitable by fire, flood or vandalism, termination of employment or armed services leave revocation. We make this service available to our guests however, this is not a contract of insurance and the benefits and services are described on a general basis. This is private insurance so if you have specific questions and/or want to verify specific coverage, please call Red Sky Travel Insurance directly at (866) 889-7409.
A rental guest may request a transfer from one week to another week in the same property, same year. All requests for transfers must be made in writing and received by Paramount Destinations at least 30 days prior to check-in. Transfers made from a higher rental rate to a lower rental rate will remain at the higher rental rate, unless the original term is re-rented. Transfers from a lower rental rate to a higher rental rate will be charged the higher rental rate. The rental guest will be charged a $150 transfer fee. Transfers to another rental unit will be treated as a cancellation.
Confirmation of the initial rent payment will serve as the bill for the final balance. These monies must be received in our office no later than 30 days prior to your arrival. If the balance is not received by this time, we may cancel the reservation or you may be subject to a $35 late balance payment fee. Checks should be made payable to Paramount Destinations, should reference confirmation number and rental week and be returned with the signed lease.
Paramount Destinations’ preferred method of payment is a personal check, cashier’s check, or certified check. We also accept money orders, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. No personal checks will be accepted within thirty days of the arrival date. Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival require full payment via credit card, cashier’s check, certified check or money order mailed overnight to Paramount Destinations by express mail carrier and received within 2 business days. Paramount Destinations does not accept personal checks upon check-in. Paramount Destinations reserves the right to levy a charge for all returned checks. PAYMENTS FOR RESERVATIONS MADE BY FOREIGN CITIZENS MUST BE MADE IN U.S. FUNDS BY MONEY ORDER OR CASHIER’S CHECK PAYABLE ON A U.S. BANK.
The NC state tax rate is 6.75%. The current Dare County occupancy tax is 6% and the current Currituck County occupancy tax is 6%. These moneys are due in addition to your rental amount including all fees for goods and services. The tax rates may change without notice.
A nonrefundable $225.00 administration fee is charged for processing each reservation and will be included in your initial advance rent payment.
DAMAGE PROTECTION PLAN
For your convenience, you have the option of choosing to pay a $1,000 security deposit or purchasing the Rental Damage Protection Plan for $54.00 (non-refundable) which is designed to cover unintentional damage to the rental unit interior that may occur during your stay. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $1,500. You assume full responsibility of any damages that exceed $1,500. If, during your stay at one of our Rental Properties, an Insured Person causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for the cost of repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of $1,500. Certain terms and conditions apply. Full details of the Rental Damage Protection Plan coverage are contained in the benefits and services or Insurance Policy. By submitting payment for this plan, you authorize and request Red Sky Travel Insurance to pay Paramount Destinations directly for any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Rental Damage Protection Plan.
Private pools and hot tubs are scheduled to be open by May 15th through October 1st. Some properties provide heated pools for an additional fee. Hot tub use in the off-season is dependent upon each individual property. Please check with the office to inquire about the availability of these amenities.
Subdivisions with outdoor swimming pools generally afford pool use May 15th through October 15th, weather permitting unless otherwise specified, Paramount Destinations cannot be held responsible for any subdivision amenities that are closed for maintenance purposes or inoperable conditions beyond our control. Swimming pools and hot tubs can pose risks ranging from infections to drowning so please use with care and at your own risk.
Every property in our rental program is equipped with a telephone and the phone number is posted in the house. The telephone in your rental property is not connected to a switchboard so we suggest all other calls, should be made on your cell phones, or billed to your home number. All calls throughout Dare and Currituck Counties are toll-free. If you make toll calls on the Owner’s phone, you may incur a service fee in addition to the amount of your calls.
MOBILE HOMES, RVs, and CAMPERS
Are not permitted at the premises without previous approval by Paramount Destinations. These vehicles are not allowed at any properties within The Currituck Club.
PARTIAL WEEK RENTALS
Some homes have been designated to allow partial week rentals. Partial week rentals have a 3 night minimum and are only available from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Please check with our office about rates and availability. In addition to the standard taxes and fees, an additional $100 partial week fee will be charged for any partial week rental.
SPECIAL EVENTS / WEDDINGS
Some homes have been designated to allow special events and weddings and only homes with this designation will be permitted to host events. A Special Event fee may be charged for this privilege. This fee may vary from $500- $1,500 depending on the home, so please contact the office for details and pricing. A fully refundable Security Deposit of $1000 may also be required for events at Special Event Homes.

- Each week reserved with the Advance Reservation Request Form requires a fee of $50.00 plus $3.38 tax.

- No more than one property can be reserved for the same time period by the same guest.
